This traditional Japanese matcha bowl is intended for enjoying tea, specifically matcha, but can be used with any beverage of choice. It is decorated using the hakeme method, a traditional Japanese style of pottery in which a brush or bundle of straw is used to apply a thin layer of clay creating the appearance of brush strokes.
